Welcoming the MNPM Class of 2026-27: Orientation Session Marks the Beginning of an Inspiring Journey

The Master of Social Sciences in Nonprofit Management Programme warmly welcomed the new 2026-27 cohort at the Orientation Session held on 21 August 2026 at The University of Hong Kong.
Bringing together students, faculty members, and alumni, the session provided a comprehensive introduction to the programme's academic journey, highlighting its curriculum, experiential learning opportunities, capstone experience, and student support resources. It also provided a valuable opportunity for students to gain insights into the learning experiences and professional pathways that await them, laying a strong foundation for their journey in nonprofit leadership and management.
We were honoured to have members of the Programme Management Committee joining the session, including Professor Cheryl Chui (Programme Director); Dr. Luke Lu (Deputy Programme Director); Dr. Sing Cheung (Programme Committee Member); and Ms. Anna-Maria Kutateladze (Programme Committee Member). Drawing on their experiences, they shared valuable insights into the MNPM programme and encouraged students to actively engage with the wide range of learning opportunities available at HKU.
The Orientation Session also featured an alumni sharing session, where our graduates - Ms. Qiu Wenyi Eva and Ms. Cheung Pui Lui Rheanna, recounted their professional journeys and reflected on the transformative role that the MNPM programme played in shaping their careers in the nonprofit sector. By sharing their experiences with the Internship and Capstone Project courses, they highlighted the connections between academic learning and real-world impact, encouraging incoming students to make the most of the opportunities ahead.
We wish all students a fulfilling and rewarding experience in the MNPM Programme and every success in the year ahead!
